Key Worker Provision

Key Worker Provision

Request for w/c 20 April 2020

Dear Parents and Carers,

Below is the link that will allow you to apply for your child to attend the school key worker provision for the week beginning 20th April. The sessions were supervised by school staff and supported by a first aider, pastoral team, admin team and site team.  As you will understand, this also means that each day a number of our staff are putting themselves on the front line to support the national effort.  As such, please could I again stress that no student should be coming to this provision unless it is as a very last resort.

Students are not being taught in these sessions, rather they are seated at a computer terminal (separated from other students) and are supervised with their online work.  They cannot be helped with the work as staff have to maintain their distance.  Without doubt, working from home is much more comfortable for students and also places them at a lower level of risk as they won’t be mixing, however distanced, with others.

At the same time, we know that this provision is, and will continue to be, essential so that keyworkers are able to carry out their vital roles.  As a school we are committed to providing this support throughout the closure and I’d like to formally thank my staff for their willingness to leave their own families to take part.

If you are a key worker, and feel that your child needs to be supervised during the day, and do not have an alternative supervision method, then please follow the link and complete the online form. The form needs to be completed by 9:00 on Friday 17th April.

If you are unable to access the application form, but do require supervision, for you child, please email and and we will add your child to the rota. If you do not complete the application form or email then there will not be a place for your child.

Some key workers may find that their working schedules change suddenly and that supervision is required for their child. If this happens to you, please contact and to inform them that your child will need to attend and we will add them to the rota.

Kind regards,

Mr Woods

Assistant Principal
