The Oakes College

The Oakes College Cambridge is the Sixth Form provider for The Anglian Learning trust.

Formerly known as Netherhall Sixth Form Centre, it has a long tradition of A-level and Applied course education and providing excellent levels of support to young people. Since September 2018, The Oakes College has built on these great foundations and embraced its new role as the Sixth Form of the Anglian Learning Trust, providing continuity of high quality education both for students who have progressed through trust schools and for those adding the richness and diversity from within the high quality educational landscape of Cambridgeshire.

The Oakes College provides:

·         Positive academic results leading to excellent progression rates of students moving onto university, apprenticeships or into the world of work.  A far higher proportion of students’ progress to the Russell group of top universities than the national average.

·         High quality teaching and learning in the classroom delivered by passionate, experienced subject specialists in smaller than average class sizes.

·         Exceptional pastoral care, where students feel safe and staff understand and treat them as individuals.

·         A structure that ensures students keep up, not catch up, through the provision of ongoing high quality feedback and access to live data for parents and students alike.

·         “World ready” skills: the creativity and resilience needed to succeed in the modern world.
