South Cambridgeshire MP, Heidi Allen visits Netherhall

She told students about her first few days in parliament

South Cambridgeshire MP, Heidi Allen, was grilled by a group of Year 9 Netherhall students when she visited the school. She told the students about her first few days in parliament after her election in 2015 and expanded on her interest in social issues.  She answered a range of questions covering both local and national issues put to her by the students who were quick to seek clarification and additional information where they felt it necessary.    Our group of political interrogators asked Mrs Allen about future leadership elections in the Conservative party and whether she was considering running for the leadership or, if not, who she would support.  Mrs Allen felt that she was too inexperienced to make a bid for the leadership but would have to wait and see who else put themselves forward before she could endorse them.  She promised to let the students know when she made this decision!
