Year 9 Options

This year’s Year 9 Options Information Evening  takes place on Thursday 22nd January . At 7.00pm there will be a presentation on the Subject Choices and Options Process in the Upper School Hall, Queen Edith’s Way. Subject displays will be on show and there will be an opportunity to speak to subject teachers from 6.30pm to 7.00pm and following the talk until 8.30pm. Car parking will be available in the school playground (entrance next to the traffic lights).

Below is a table of key dates students and parents should be aware of when considering the Options process:

Tuesday 20th January 2009 Student assembly to explain the Options process
Thursday 22nd January 2009 Options Information Evening, 6:30pm Upper School
Friday 23rd January 2009 Collapsed Period 1 (8:50-9:50am). Students meet in tutor groups to look at Options resources and receive Options booklets
Tuesday 27th January 2009 Student assembly to introduce Diploma courses
Wednesday 28th January 2009 Student assembly with presentation from CRC (Cambridge Regional College)
Thursday 29th January 2009 Student assembly to introduce new subjects. Presentation from Media Studies and Business Studies departments.
Thursday 5th February 2009 Year 9 Parents’ Evening
Friday 6th March 2009 Final deadline for handing in Options form
