Aug 4th, 2008 • Category: NewsIn a contest that he entered as part of the Young Enterprise programme offered by the Business Studies department, Sixth Form student Adam Scott has been chosen from amoung thousands of entries, around the country, as Britain’s Young Online Entrepreneur of the Year. The award is sponsored by Virgin Media and Adam went to London to collect his award.
The aim on the contest is to help a young person establsi a sucessful online business over the course of the next year. Adam has won £1,000 to invest in his business idea, a state-of-the-art laptop, and exclusive one-to-one with Tim Cambell. the first winner of The Apprentice, and the Advice of a Business Mentor, sponsored by Virgin Media, throughout the 2008/09 school year. There was a professional photo shoot at key locations around London, featuring Adam and Tim, to promote the award; venues included the Millennium Bridge, the Bank of England and the Re Building (also known as the ‘Gherkin’.)
The Young Enterprise programme goes from strength to strength and winning of a national award is an exceptional achievement. Congratulations to Adam, the Business Studies Department and the Mr Fraser for all his efforts.
